Melbourne based musician and songwriter Jai Larkan and his band The Wishing Well are finally visiting the range for a once only show at Finbars on the 18th September.
Jais deeply emotional songs are backed up by acoustic guitar, rich orchestral arrangements and a full rock contemporary rhythm section. His wife Rivkah plays support violin while the flamboyant crowd-pleasing Sarah rips it up with her passionate Violin solos and melodies.

Fresh from their successful tour of Europe and the UK, The Wishing Well have proven themselves to audiences around the world with their fresh sound and emotive performances.
So far the band has played over 600 gigs and burned through 30 different band members, since forming in 2007.
“Yeah, we’ve played our little hearts out. Performing that much can take its toll if you’re not in it for the music and the long haul”, says Jai.
“It’s a fantastic way to spend the day” he says “playing songs you believe in, hanging out with friends and communicating with new friends through music”.
Having sold over 3,700 copies of their debut album “Life On The Border” since its release in March 2008, they now have many new fans waiting for the new album being recorded October this year.
The Wishing Well are:
- Jai Larkan – Vocals and acoustic Guitar
- Sarah Busuttil – Violin and vocals
- Rivkah Larkan – Violin
- Alex Rottier – Bass
- Mikey Minten – Drums
The Wishing Well are a not to be missed band for those of us that love folk rock with heart.
If you enjoy David Gray, Dave Matthews Band, and The Waterboys you will love The Wishing Well.
The Wishing Well are playing at Finbars in Maleny from 9pm on Friday 18th September.

Hello friends,
On Sunday the 9th of August at 3.30pm, my new youth marimba group Mumbo Jumbo is having an afternoon tea fundraiser at the Maleny RSL Hall. There are 16 kids from Maleny aged from 10 – 14 in the group.
At present we are playing on borrowed marimbas so we are fundraising to buy a new set of marimbas that we can call our own. We need to raise approx $3000 for this. The new marimbas will also be used to offer workshops to the wider community so we can spread the joy of playing this fabulous instrument.
Please come along and support this exciting new local youth group.
Mumbo Jumbo will be performing and a delicious afternoon tea will be available.
We will also be raffling 17 prizes that have been generously donated by parents, friends and local businesses. A list of the raffle prizes is attached as well as an e-flyer with all the details.
Download Raffle Prizes list doc
Please forward on to your networks so we can get lots of people along to support Maleny’s very talented musical youth. If you can’t make it but wish to make a donation or to buy some raffle tickets, please contact me via email or phone 5494 3755 / 0438 328 782.
Hope to see you there!
Fatima
